R.H. Forney's collection of Cerita Day Meyer's correspondence, 1962 May 1, 1876.

R.H. Forney sent a letter to the Washington State Library which is dated May 1, 1962 thanking them for the information they provided about the Peter Meyer family. With this letter he enclosed photocopies of the handwritten and the typed transcripts of the handwritten letters of Cerita Day Meyer to her cousin dated 1876. Mr. Forney lists the immediate descendants of Cerita D. Meyer that were still living at the time of the letter.

Sylvester S. and Margaret Forney had two sons born to them in Kansas and one survived. Ross Huber (R. H.) Forney was the second son born on Sept. 11, 1890 in Kansas. Sylvester started out farming and by 1910 he was a shoemaker that owned his own shop in Lawrence, KS. R. H. attended and graduated from the University of Kansas. By 1920, R.
